Man arrested over attempted robbery in Oswestry
A 35-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an attempted street robbery in Oswestry town centre.

The incident happened in the early hours of June 17 after a 21-year-old man withdrew money from the Abbey National cash point in Bailey Street.
After making his way down a passageway near the cash point leading to Willow Street, he was grabbed from behind by a man who demanded his wallet.
A struggle broke out as the victim resisted but he was forced to the ground and kicked round his head and arms. The assailant ran off when other people were heard approaching.
The injured man was taken to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital with a suspected broken arm.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said today that a man was arrested in Oswestry yesterday on suspicion of attempted robbery.
He was taken into custody at Shrewsbury police station and later given conditional police bail while enquiries continue.
