Telford & Wrekin Council to commission review of senior management
Telford & Wrekin Council is to commission a review of the senior management team as part of the Council's ongoing restructuring and the new administration's decision to become a Co-operative Council.

In a linked move, the Council's chief executive Victor Brownlees has offered to take voluntary redundancy.
His application will be considered by the cabinet on 7 July. If accepted Victor would leave the Council at the end of July and an interim appointment will be made to manage the Council and oversee the review.
Council leader Kuldip Sahota said: “Victor has worked tirelessly for this Council over the last four years, the last two years of which have been as chief executive at one of the most testing of times for local government against a background of unprecedented cuts in Government funding.”
Victor Brownlees said: “I have enjoyed my time as Chief Executive of Telford & Wrekin Council during what has been an exceptionally challenging time for local government.
“The new administration has made a clear choice to move to a co-operative council model with a new senior management structure and I judge it is time to take a new direction and pursue other interests which is why I have offered to be considered for voluntary redundancy.”
