The Wrekin Housing Trust is continuing to meet its aims of providing affordable, high quality homes in Shropshire and the Midlands.

The Trust has recently exchanged contracts to provide new homes at the Pipe Gate Development In Woore, near Market Drayton. This means that three new homes will be available in August this year, one for InReach, the Trust’s rent now buy later scheme, and two for rent. These will be followed by another two InReach homes next year. The homes, which will consist of two and three bedroom houses will be built to high standards of construction and will provide affordable, modern, energy efficient homes.

The Trust will also be providing seven properties at Candle Lane in Woore. The new homes here will consist of six three-bedroom family houses and one apartment, which will be available for a mixture of shared ownership and rent. These properties will all be ready next year.

Andrea Martin, Asset Renewal Manager at the Trust said of the planned new homes: ”At the Trust we strive to provide as many new high quality homes as we can each year, and in increasingly varied areas too. The properties at Woore will add to our growing portfolio of sustainable, modern homes which are improving the lives of local people in Shropshire.”

The Trust will also be providing many other homes in Shropshire over 2011 and 2012, including four homes in Shrewsbury, 15 houses in Shifnal and six apartments in Newport, as well as increasing their large portfolio of new homes across Telford & Wrekin.
