Shropshire man charged with receiving stolen metal
A Shropshire man has been charged with receiving stolen goods as part of a large-scale metal theft investigation by West Midlands Police.

West Midlands officers, supported by officers from West Mercia Police, executed a warrant at a Shrewsbury scrap metal yard in April.
At the same time, a second warrant was executed at an address linked with the business in a nearby village, where the 65-year-old was arrested.
On Thursday 7 July 2011 he was charged with receiving stolen goods and has been bailed to appear at Dudley Magistrates’ Court on Friday 15 July 2011.
Another man from the West Midlands, who was arrested following a separate warrant at the end of March at a Black Country scrap metal merchants, has also been charged with receiving stolen goods.
Both charges relate to a large amount of steel reported stolen from a business in the Kingswinford area in March.
Two further men from the Nottinghamshire area have previously been charged with burglary by West Midlands Police in connection with the original incident and are currently appearing before the courts.
A second man arrested at the Shrewsbury scrapyard on suspicion of theft by West Mercia officers during the search remains on police bail pending further enquiries. This arrest is not connected with the West Midlands inquiry.
