Plans to redevelop Shrewsbury’s Riverside shopping centre have gone on show today.

Shrewsbury shopping centre redevelopment plans go on show

In June, it was announced that Shrewsbury’s three shopping centres are to be merged into one 650,000 sq ft retail scheme called New Riverside.

A £150m retail revamp will see the Riverside Mall being redeveloped and linked to the Darwin and Pride Hill centres which will also be refurbished.

The redevelopment will create a further 225,000 sq ft of retail space in the newly combined centre, including a 97,000 sq ft department store and up to 60 shops and restaurants.

The plans are on display today until 8pm, tomorrow from 10am to 5.30pm and Saturday from 10am to 4pm in the Darwin Centre.
