At least seven vehicles have been vandalised along a Bridgnorth riverside street, causing hundreds of pounds worth of damage.

Vandals damage cars in Bridgnorth street

Police have appealed for witnesses after a group of up to four males was seen running away from the scene in Friars Street, leading into Riverside Avenue just after 1am on Saturday 16 July 2011.

On arrival a few minutes later, officers found several cars and at least one van along the length of the street had had wing mirrors torn or kicked off or otherwise damaged.

The four suspects were seen running off towards the bridge over the River Severn. All were white and one was wearing a pale blue hooded top.

Anyone who saw or heard anything in the area that night which might be connected is asked to contact police on 0300 333 3000.

Information can also be passed on anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, where a reward is sometimes offered.
