The incident happened at around 4.40pm yesterday near the skate ramp at the bowling pavilion in Sandford Avenue.

Police were called after the man was seen behaving in an indecent manner. Officers carried out a search of the area but did not find him.

A West Mercia Police spokesperson said today: "We have spoken to several people who saw the offender but we are anxious to hear from anyone else who can help our enquiries.

"Information can be forwarded to Ludlow or Shrewsbury police station on 0300 333 3000."

The man was described as white, in his late thirties or early forties, about six feet tall, fat with a chubby face and bald head. He was wearing a black t-shirt and black trousers.

When last seen, he was walking along the A49 in Church Stretton towards Shrewsbury.
