Thieves steal £200 from Market Drayton charity shop
Police in Market Drayton have appealed for witnesses after a town centre charity shop was broken into and more than £200 stolen.
The burglary happened at Sue Ryder Care in Cheshire Street between about 5pm on Monday 18 July 2011 and 8.45am on Tuesday 19 July 2011.
An untidy search was carried out and cash stolen, although various other items had also been moved around inside, suggesting the offender or offenders may have been inside for some time.
Police Constable Teresa Horne, who is investigating the incident, appealed for anyone who might have seen or heard suspicious activity during that night to get in touch on 0300 333 3000.
Two ‘young' males, one of them carrying an orange bag, were seen around the back of the shop at about 5am on Tuesday 19 July 2011 but it is not known at this stage whether they were involved.
Information can also be passed on anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
