An urgent call has been put out for projects working with the community of Donnington and Donnington Wood, Telford to apply for the last grants from the Fair Share Trust. Significant funding is available for the right type of project.

In 2003 Donnington and Donnington Wood was given its own ten year National Lottery Fund, the Fair Share Trust, for projects which help develop community activities or facilities.

The Community Foundation for Shropshire & Telford, who manage the funding programme, have funded some excellent projects over the last few years. However there is still some funding left which must be completely spent by 31st March 2013.

Grants Officer, Lynne Carney said “Although 2013 sounds like a long time away, for a project to get going and make a difference they will need to be applying for funding now. That is why we are making the last grants available from Fair Share Trust over the next month. Up to £50,000 is available for projects which address our local priorities”

Projects which develop youth activities, increase volunteering, improve employability, promote health and make local people feel safe are particularly encouraged to apply. Partnership projects or projects run by local people are particularly welcomed.

The Tender Brief, Application Guidance and Application Form can all be downloaded from the Fair Share Trust page of www.cfshropshireandtelford.org.uk

Applications will need to be submitted by 23rd September 2011.
