"Most Wanted" fraud suspect arrested in Shrewsbury
A nation-wide search for a 28-year-old man alleged to have posed as a charity collector, has been called off after his arrest in Shropshire last night.

Nicholas Slocombe gave himself up at Shrewsbury police station following a blaze of publicity about being wanted for alleged frauds in various parts of the country.
He walked into Shrewsbury police station at around 5.30pm last night just hours after media publicity reporting he had been seen at an address in the town on Saturday morning.
Detective Chief Inspector Alan Edwards, the head of Shropshire CID, said today: "Nicholas Slocombe was arrested last night on suspicion of committing a number of frauds by making false representation. He is currently in custody being questioned about a number of incidents.
"His arrest follows recent media publicity where his photograph was well publicised and I am grateful for the support the media have given in their coverage of the case."
Last week, Slocombe was included on Crimestoppers ten "most wanted" people for alleged fraud crimes in the UK.
He is suspected of obtaining money from shops and businesses in Shropshire and Herefordshire by posing as a charity worker. Several other police forces also want to speak to him concerning alleged crimes in their areas.
Slocombe was arrested in April on suspicion of committing more than 30 offences across the two counties. He failed to answer his bail in May and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
