Burglary suspects arrested in Shrewsbury
A 41-year-old man was in custody today on suspicion of burgling two homes in Shrewsbury. He was arrested last night after being initially detained by the occupants of one of the homes involved.

The arrest follows sneak-in burglaries at a home in Copthorne Rise and nearby premises in Granville Street between 8.10pm and 8.30pm last night.
At the first address, a Dell laptop, mobile phone, wallet and three cans of lager were stolen.
The second offence happened minutes later when a thief was disturbed at the home in Granville Street where a handbag and its contents including £40 in coin were stolen.
A suspect was detained nearby by one of the occupants and the police called. The man was taken to Shrewsbury police station for questioning. Most of the property taken from both homes was recovered.
Teenager Arrested
In a separate incident, a 13-year-old boy was arrested at 6.25am today at a home in Shrewsbury on suspicion of breaking into a house in Underdale Road last Wednesday.
In that incident, an intruder was disturbed inside the premises by the occupants arriving home at about 4pm. He fled the premises, dropping a holdall bag containing stolen property and running off through the back gardens of adjoining properties.
The suspect remains in custody at Shrewsbury police station for questioning.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said today: "We are grateful for the support and information supplied by members of the public in relation to criminal activity, especially domestic burglaries."
