Police are appealing for information after a man indecently exposed himself to a woman as she walked to work in Telford.

Man indecently exposes himself in Oakengates

The incident happened at around 5.30am on Monday in an alleyway between Stafford Road and Buttery Grove in Oakengates.

As the woman, who is aged in her 20's, walked towards Buttery Grove she saw a man standing in the alleyway. As she approached him he indecently exposed himself to her.

She continued to walk towards Buttery Grove and he walked in the opposite direction towards Stafford Road.
Police are investigating the matter and want to hear from anyone with information.

A Telford Police spokeswoman said: "The area is near the town centre so it is likely that a few people would have been in the area making their way to work.

"If you saw the man in the area around the time of the offence then we would like to hear from you."

The offender is described as white, aged in his mid to late 40's, around 5ft 6ins to 5ft 7ins tall, of average build with short, dark, unkempt hair. He was wearing a beige coloured waist length jacket and black jeans and black shoes.

Anyone with information should contact Telford Police on 0300 333 3000 or the anonymous Crimestopper line on 0800 555111.
