Ketley Bank Community Fun Day enjoyed by all
Ketley Bank’s recent Community Fun Day celebration was a huge success for residents and visitors to Ketley Bank and attended by the young and old, who shared a memorable day.

The event, in the grounds of Queenswood Primary School, included attractions such as a fairground, donkey and steam engine rides, street sports, face painting and several games run by the Wrekin Lions and the Greyhound Rescue charity stalls.
The event was organised by the Ketley Bank Residents Association, in partnership with Telford & Wrekin Council and The Wrekin Housing Trust.
A number of local businesses from Oakengates and Ketley Bank also gave their support by supplying refreshments. These included Catherine’s Bakery, the Chop Shop Butchers, Co-Op, Top Shop on Fourth Avenue, Aldi and Tesco stores.
The event was funded by Telford & Wrekin Council, Oakengates Town Council and The Wrekin Housing Trust.
Paul Ferguson, Chair of the Ketley Bank Resident’s Association said: “It really was a great day for all. We are grateful to the school for letting us use their grounds and to the local businesses and organisations who gave their support to help us. We very much hope to make it a regular event so that Ketley Bank residents can celebrate their local community more.”
Cllr Hilda Rhodes, who attended the event, said: “I was delighted to take part in the fun day and I’ve been really impressed by the work put in by both young and old residents to make sure that this day is one to be proud of. It is a real example of communities working together. Residents have made this event very special.”
