Ludlow Assembly Rooms gets spruced up for the new season
A big summer clean has been underway at the Assembly Rooms in Ludlow in readiness for the new season.

A number of volunteers, including some of the organisation’s Trustees and staff spent the weekend with mops and buckets to spruce up the venue and give it a bit of a lift.
The Assembly Rooms is undergoing a period of major change and is working hard on a new Business Plan that will steer it safely through the next 5 years and beyond.
The loss of grant funding next April and the impending departure of the Director Paula Redway has prompted the need to look carefully at the future. But the Assembly Rooms is most definitely open for business and has big plans for the coming months.
Thanks to local fundraising and a grant from Shropshire Council’s Market Towns Revitalisation Programme a number of improvements to the building will be made and a new digital projector has now been ordered.
Sam Hine, of local development company Communities Can, has been supporting the Assembly Rooms since April. Sam took part in the recent community cleaning days and said, “The Assembly Rooms is a much loved Ludlow facility. Hundreds of local people volunteer and give their time to keep the building open for everyone to enjoy. It’s a great organisation to work with.”
There are lots of opportunities for people to get involved at the Assembly Rooms. If anyone wants to join in with future volunteering, like the community cleaning days please contact the Assembly Rooms on 01584 878141 or visit the website at www.ludlowassemblyrooms.co.uk
