Telford town centre road re-opens following essential work
The link road from Telford Town Centre down to M54’s Junction 5 has re-opened after scheduled road works were completed in under three weeks.

Hall Park Way has been closed to traffic going in the direction from the motorway to the Town Centre since September 7 to allow essential resurfacing and the renewal and decluttering of signage work to take place.
The work has now been completed and the road is now open as normal with full access restored to the nearby Telford Bridge and Telford Forge Retail Parks and other business premises.
A scheme to renew and declutter signage on the B5072, at Malinslee and Forge roundabouts will begin later this week. The work will take around four weeks but will not require any closure of the road network.
Work currently taking place on Euston Way, the main access road to Telford Central Station is due to be completed next week with the road then fully re-opening.
The final phase of work will involve some overnight closures between the last train of the night and the first train of the morning. This will allow the final sections of resurfacing to be done.
Current traffic management and public transport arrangements will remain in place as normal during this time with access restricted to vehicles smaller than a minibus. A shuttle bus is in place between the train station and the bus stops on Telford Way.
Councillor Shaun Davies, cabinet member for Environment, Co-operative Council and Partnerships, said: “Improving the state of roads and footpaths across the Borough is a priority which Telford & Wrekin Council are committed to. This has been shown as part of the new administrations budget review where an extra £1.5 million has been allocated to the improvement of our road network.
“I appreciate the road works have caused some inconvenience and I would like to thank everyone who uses the roads for their patience while the work has been ongoing.
“It was all essential work and I am pleased that Hall Park Way has been completed in slightly less than the scheduled three weeks. Euston Way should be completed some time next week.”
