Man arrested on suspicion of importing drugs in Oswestry
West Mercia Police have arrested a man in Oswestry on suspicion of importing controlled drugs as part of an ongoing investigation into the misuse of GHB in the area.

The man, who is in his 20s, was arrested on Wednesday in the Welsh Walls part of the town. He was questioned by officers at Shrewsbury Police Station and later released on bail until 15 November, pending further inquiries.
Warrants were also executed yesterday at several properties in Oswestry which led to the seizure of items including substances believed to be controlled drugs. These are now being forensically examined.
Detective Inspector Gavin Kinrade, said "The arrest and searches we carried out are part of an ongoing investigation linked to the illegal misuse of GHB in Oswestry. It was a follow on to a significant operation we carried out in the area in April when we searched around 20 properties and made more than a dozen arrests.
"This demonstrates our commitment to targeting those involved in the misuse of these drugs and minimising the impact that it has on the local community.
"We would urge anyone who has any information concerning the misuse of drugs to contact us on 0300 333 3000, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
