Date set for Telford officer to receive MBE at Buckingham Palace
A Telford police officer who has been made an MBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours list is to receive his honour at Buckingham Palace next month.

Sergeant Louis Hylton, who is based at Madeley Police Station, was told in June that he would receive the honour for services to policing and the community.
He has now been invited to attend Buckingham Palace on Wednesday 12 October where he will be presented with his honour by the Queen, Prince Charles or Princess Anne.
Sergeant Hylton, who will be taking his wife Lesley, son Lewi and daughter Georgina along, said the family was really looking forward to their trip to London.
He said: "We are all really looking forward to it.
"I have never been to the palace before so it will be a new experience but of course this will be an extra special visit for us.
"Back in the army days in the 1970s I saw the Queen from a distance when I was a serving soldier, but I have never actually met a member of the Royal family. I'm really looking forward to the day."
Sergeant Hylton will receive the honour in particular recognition of his work in tackling anti-social behaviour and the significant difference he has made to the engagement between the police service and the community.
He has worked closely with partner agencies and local residents to tackle anti-social behaviour by encouraging a pro-active approach by his officers and members of the Special Constabulary. He has led a number of initiatives and has fully engaged with the community he serves through holding residents' meetings, putting out information in local parish magazines and through leaflet drops.
Sergeant Hylton has served as a police officer for West Mercia Police for the last 23 years. Before joining the police service he served for 15 years in the Royal Artillery, including three tours of duty in Northern Ireland.
