Investigation launched following discovery of body on the Longmynd
An investigation has been launched by police following the discovery of a body in the south Shropshire hills.

The partly decomposed body was found on the Longmynd at Church Stretton at around 5pm last night.
Inquiries were continuing today to confirm the identity and a post mortem is being arranged to establish the cause of death.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: "At the moment, formal identification has not been established but we believe the body to be that of a man.
"We will be carrying out detailed inquiries into the circumstances. However, at this early stage we do not believe it to be suspicious.
"One possibility being considered is that it is a man in his forties reported missing from the south of England in March."
The spokesperson added that the body was found in an upland area and it appeared the person had been living rough.
The coroner's office for south Shropshire has been informed and an inquest will be opened in due course.
