Laptop and cash taken during Muxton burglary
Police in Telford are investigating following a burglary at an address on Brands Meadow in Muxton.
Thieves broke into the property sometime between 12.45am and 8am yesterday by forcing open a ground floor window.
They then entered the house through the window and searched the ground floor rooms.
West Mercia Police say having carried out a search the thieves stole a Toshiba laptop computer worth at least £400 and a black plastic purse from the living room before making their escape.
The stolen purse contained a number of personally documents - including bank cards - and, most significantly, around £200 in cash.
Police believe that, having picked up the stolen items, the thieves then made their escape via the same window they got in through.
Anyone who believes they may have information about this break-in is asked to call police in Telford on 0300 333 3000. Alternatively, information can also be left anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
