Vandals caught in the act by Shrewsbury police
Two vandals caught in the act of damaging a Shrewsbury town centre floral display, received on the spot police fines and made to clear up the mess.

The men were spotted on CCTV ripping up plants from displays in High Street and The Square just before 1am today.
A police officer on duty in the town was directed to the incident, the two culprits located and £80 fixed penalty fines issued. They were also made to clear up the mess before leaving.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: "The men were seen causing criminal damage by a communications operator viewing CCTV monitors in the Force control room. They were pulling up flowers and throwing them into the street.
"An officer was able to attend and the culprits identified. It was a stupid piece of vandalism which cost them £80 each."
Damage to the flower displays - belonging to Shropshire Council - amounted to about £35.
