Disabled man assaulted whilst walking in Market Drayton
A 61-year-old disabled man has been assaulted in Market Drayton. The man was walking along Maer Lane just after 9am yesterday when he was pushed from behind by a youth who ran off.

He sustained severe grazing to his face and knees and was treated at the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford.
Police Constable Mark Hobden said: "This was a cowardly assault on a man walking along minding his own business.
"He was near to the last house on Maer Lane on the footpath opposite the fire and ambulance station, when he felt a shove with two hands on his shoulder blades, causing him to fall to the ground.
"He saw a youth running down Maer Lane and turning left onto Cheshire Street."
PC Hobden appealed for anyone who saw the incident or a youth running from the area at the time, to contact him at Market Drayton police station on 0300 333 3000.
"This incident happened in daylight at a busy time of day so I am hoping people will come forward with helpful information," he added.
Information can also be given to the anonymous Crimestoppers number, 0800 555 111.
