Telford Police are seeking to identify several men in connection with cash thefts from fruit machines at a public house in Wellington.

Police release CCTV images following fruit machine cash thefts

Offenders stole around £1,000 from two fruit machines at The Station Hotel in Station Road in Wellington some time on the afternoon of Saturday 27 August.

Thieves used tools to break the locking mechanism and stole the cash boxes from within.

Around £500 was contained in each fruit machine.

Police are investigating the matter and have today released four CCTV images of men they would like to speak to in connection with the incidents.

A Police spokeswoman said: "The offenders cut the lock off the mechanism of the fruit machines and stole the cash from within. They concealed the cash boxes under a held jacket before leaving the pub.

"We are eager to identify the men pictured on the CCTV, which was captured in the pub.

"Police are hoping that someone will be able to identify them from the CCTV images and we would ask anyone who recognises them to please give us a call."

Anyone with information should contact Police Constable John Hughes from Wellington Police Station on 0300 333 3000.

Alternatively information can be given anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
