Attempted robbery in Hadley investigated by police
Police officers are investigating after an attempted robbery at an address on Crescent Road, Hadley on Monday 24 October. The incident has similarities to a robbery that was carried out on the same road just over a week earlier.

Between 5.30pm and 6pm on Monday, two unknown men wearing balaclavas entered the victim's property through a rear door. The victim - a 49-year-old woman - was playing loud music in her living room at the time and only became aware of the men when they came into the room.
One of the men demanded money from the victim and threatened her. The victim reacted by grabbing a wine bottle and hitting one of the men over the head with it.
A physical altercation started but when the victim hit one of the men with the wine bottle for a second time the two men quickly left the property through the rear door and made off.
Nothing was stolen during this incident.
A police spokesman said: "The victim believes the two men who entered her property were both of Asian origin. She also states that both men were slim and that one was around 5ft 6inches tall and the other roughly 5ft 2inches tall.
"Officers are looking at possible links to the robbery that occurred on Crescent Road on Friday 14 October when a 29-year-old woman was robbed of several gold bangles. CCTV footage is being sought for both offences and the same team is investigating the two incidents.
