Distraction burglars strike at two Bridgnorth homes
Distraction burglars have struck at two homes in Bridgnorth claiming to be from the "water board".

The occupants at both addresses - in Clee View Road and Hermitage Close - were elderly. Police say bogus callers deliberately target the elderly, trying to con their way into their homes.
Once inside, they distract the occupants while searching for cash and small valuables such as jewellery.
Three men called at the home in Clee View Road between 6.40pm and 7pm last night. Initially, one knocked on the door saying he was from the "water board" and needed to turn the taps off. Once inside, he opened the door and let two accomplices in.
While one went into a bedroom the other two stayed in the front room after running the tap and removing items from beneath the sink.
But they left empty-handed after the householder said she was expecting a relative to call.
A similar offence happened in Hermitage Close between 7.30pm and 7.55pm when a man knocked on the door and said there had been a gas explosion down the road and he needed to check the water pipes for possible damage. While in the kitchen, a second man sneaked in and went upstairs.
Shortly after, they left and some money was found missing from the bedroom and dining room.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: "People must remember not to let strangers who call, into their homes. No matter what excuse they give, however plausible it may sound, keep them out.
"These criminals can be very convincing and persuasive with stories about water or electricity problems. It's just a ruse to get inside and search for money.
"Do not let strangers into the home even if they offer to show identity cards. Call a neighbour or relative and notify the police on 0300 333 3000. We will always check out suspicious callers."
Anyone with information about the two incidents should contact Bridgnorth police station on 0300 333 3000.
