Police are investigating after thieves broke into a Telford home and stole a haul of electrical equipment and a high powered sports car.

Sports car and electrical equipment stolen during Telford burglary

The break-in happened at an address in Fairburn Road in Randlay sometime between 1am and 10.30am on Saturday.

Thieves crept in through a small downstairs window that had been left ajar.

Once inside the home they searched the property and stole thousands of pounds worth of gadgets and a 5 series M sport BMW.

Police are investigating the matter and want to hear from anyone with information about the burglary.

A Telford Police spokeswoman said: "Thieves stole an X-box, a Nintendo Wii, a Samsung television, around 25 cds, a MP4 player, a JVC camcorder and a Compaq laptop computer.

"They also stole the set of keys to the car, which was parked on the front of the driveway. The car is a 5 series M sport BMW registration N99 WAN.

"Police are investigating the burglary and are keen to speak to anyone who has information. In particular we want to hear from anyone with information concerning the whereabouts of the car or the electrical items stolen.

"It is pertinent to point out that the television and games consoles were taken without the remote controls and leads. Therefore if you are offered such items for sale without the relevant remote controls and leads then please contact us."

Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to contact Telford Police on 0300 333 3000 or the anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555111.
