Telford charity clothing thefts investigated
Police officers in Telford are investigating following thefts from two separate charity clothing banks in the town.

The thefts occurred in Wellington and Donnington sometime between 10.30pm on Thursday 27 October and 10.30pm Sunday 30 October.
Sometime during the time period in question it appears that thieves approached the Salvation Army charity clothing banks at the Morrisons supermarket in Wellington and the Asda supermarket in Donnington and then forced off the locks to access the containers.
In both incidents, having broken the locks, the thieves then took all the clothing from inside the banks before making off with the items.
In total almost 2000kg of clothing was taken with an estimated value of around £400.
A police spokesman said:
"This is an extremely unusual incident and we are obviously looking at the possibility that the same thieves committed both thefts.
"It is rather sad to think the stolen clothes had been kindly donated by local people and we are very keen to trace the thieves responsible for these heartless thefts.
"Anyone who has seen anything suspicious close to either of these charity banks since Thursday evening, or who may know who's responsible for these thefts, is asked to contact police in Telford of 0300 333 3000.
"Alternatively, please remember that information can also be left anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you'd rather not get directly involved yourself."
