Police in Telford are appealing for witnesses after a man suffered head injuries as a result of disorder in a pub in Madeley at the weekend.

Man injured following disorder at Madeley pub

The incident occurred in The Three Furnaces Inn on Bridgnorth Road early on Saturday 5 November.

At just after 1am it appears that a fight broke out on the dance floor and reports suggest that at least six people became involved in the disorder.

The disorder continued for a short time and as a result of the disorder a 26-year-old man suffered bruising to the left side of his head and a cut to his left ear.

It appears this cut may have been caused by a glass.

Two men in their early 20s were arrested following this incident and they have now been bailed pending further enquiries.

Officers investigating this incident are very keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed it, or anyone who may know why or how the disorder started.
Police are also keen to hear from anyone who may be able to help them identify any of the individuals involved.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact police in Telford on 0300 333 3000.

Alternatively, please remember that information can also be left anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you'd rather not get directly involved yourself.
