Motorists face M54 delays after lorry jack-knife’s
Motorists are facing delays around Junction 6 of the M54 this morning after a lorry jack-knifed yesterday evening.
The lorry went through the central reservation directly under the J6 island of the motorway at around 7pm last night closing the motorway in both directions for a time.
The driver of the lorry was uninjured following the incident. Shropshire Fire and Rescue attended the scene to deal with a fuel spillage.
Engineers have been working overnight to repair the central reservation barrier and resurface the road.
Traffic travelling eastbound is reduced to one lane, whilst motorists heading westbound will need to leave the motorway at J6 before rejoining immediately.
The motorway is expected to fully re-open around 9am.
Traffic Lights Stuck
Traffic lights at the Ketley Brook island are also causing problems for motorists in Telford this morning after sticking on red overnight.
