Shrewsbury DVLA office to close under plans
The DVLA office in Shrewsbury could close under new plans put forward by the government to close 39 regional offices across the UK, putting more than 1,200 jobs at risk.
Shrewsbury’s DVLA Local Office is located on Battlefield Enterprise Park in the north of the town.
As part of the Governments review into Public Sector spending both DVLA and VOSA has undergone examination to ensure money is spent as wisely as possible
Roads Minister Mike Penning today announced the closures would take place by the end of 2013.
The proposal is now under consultation.
