Handbag snatched from elderly woman in Telford
Police in Telford are investigating after an elderly woman had her handbag snatched as she made her way home from a shopping trip.

The woman - aged in her 80's - was walking along New Road in Wrockwardine Wood when the incident happened at around 12.45pm yesterday.
An unknown man approached her and pulled at her handbag, which was over her arm.
The victim pulled it back herself but the offender managed to pull the bag off her arm and run away towards Wrockwardine Walk Way towards Trench.
Police were called and carried out a search of the area using police dogs. The victim's handbag was found discarded in a nearby bush. Nothing had been stolen.
The woman was not injured but she was extremely upset by the incident.
Police are investigating and have appealed to the public to come forward with information and help identify the offender.
A Telford Police spokeswoman said: "The woman was walking from the shops in Wrockwardine, pulling a shopping trolley, when the incident happened.
"The woman tried to keep hold of her handbag but the thief was too strong and managed to pull her bag away.
"The woman shouted she was going to call police and it is believed the offender may have dropped the bag at this point.
"If you were in the area at the time and saw or heard anything that could aid officers with their investigation then we would really like to hear from you."
The suspect is described as white and aged in his mid to late teens. He is around 5ft 10ins tall, of slim build and with medium length light brown hair. He was wearing a grey Lonsdale hooded top with dark coloured tracksuit bottoms.
