Ludlow Assembly Rooms is looking forward to an exciting year ahead with some big changes happening at the venue, both structurally with a major refurbishment programme underway, and also with a new management team who will lead the organisation in to the future.

The new year brings changes at Ludlow Assembly Rooms

The Assembly Rooms has begun its search for its new Director and successfully appointed a new Sales and Marketing Manager just before the Christmas break.

Jenna Blair started in her new role at the Assembly Rooms on 1st January 2012. Jenna brings some great experience to the job. She is an English graduate with a background in teaching and has recently worked at Theatre Severn and the Old Market Hall and for Blue Eyed Soul Dance Company in Shrewsbury.

Jenna takes over from Dido Blench who retired as Marketing Manager in December, but has added responsibilities for improving the customer experience at the Assembly Rooms, and for ensuring as many people as possible enjoy the entertainment and activities on offer.

Jenna is looking forward to taking a leading role in the arts scene in and around Ludlow and has particular interest in keeping the Assembly Rooms at the heart of the community. She believes strongly in engaging with and involving young people.

Jenna said, “I firmly believe that the arts are for everyone - I am very much looking forward to being part of the team at the Assembly Rooms and to contributing to the venue's continuing success. What a great way to start the new year!"

Jenna can be contacted on 01584 813711. She will be happy to hear from anyone who has suggestions on films, live events and arts activities they would like to see at the Assembly Rooms in 2012.
