A man was taken to hospital after a two car collision in Telford yesterday evening.

Man injured in two car Telford collision

The collision between two cars occured on the A442 Queensway between the Aquaduct and Tweedale at around 8.50pm.

A West Midlands ambulance service spokesman said: “On arrival, ambulance crews found two cars that had been damaged. One had collided with a lamp post.

“Thankfully no one was injured in the vehicle that had collided with the lamppost. However, a man in his mid 30s was trapped in the second car.

“Ambulance crews worked with firefighters to safely extricate him from the vehicle. He was taken to Princess Royal Hospitall in Telford with a suspected broken leg. He was the only casualty.”

Fire crews from Tweedale, Wellington and an operational officer from Shrewsbury all attended the collision.
