Two arrested following drugs warrant in Shrewsbury
Two people were arrested yesterday when police carried out a drugs search warrant at a home in Monkmoor, Shrewsbury. A 42-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man were taken into custody on suspicion of drugs offences.

They were arrested at an address in Clive Road by officers carrying out a warrant issued under the Misuse of Drugs Act. They also seized a number of items including suspected drugs.
The man was later charged with possessing cannabis, a Class B controlled drug. He was bailed to appear before Shrewsbury magistrates court on January 26.
The woman was given an official caution for possessing a quantity of the Class A controlled drug diamorphine and possession of cannabis.
It was the latest in a series of drugs warrants executed by police in the Shrewsbury area.
Tackling illegal drugs remains a top priority for West Mercia Police who today repeated appeals urging people to pass on information if they suspect drug activity in their neighbourhood. Call Shrewsbury police station on the 101 non-emergency number.
