BBC Question Time Shrewsbury guests revealed

The topical debate show in which guests from the worlds of politics and the media answer questions posed by members of the public is set to be recorded in front of a live audience in the town at 8.30pm before being transmitted at 10.35pm.

The Walker Theatre at Shrewsbury’s Theatre Severn will be the venue for the filming.

Host David Dimbleby, will be joined by guest panelists Tottenham MP David Lammy, Germaine Greer, Baroness Warsi, Caroline Lucas, MP for Brighton Pavilion and columnist Charles Moore.

The programme broadcast from Shrewsbury’s Music Hall in 2004.

National Institution
In the years since it was first broadcast on 25 September 1979, Question Time has become something of a national institution, offering British voters a unique opportunity to quiz top decision-makers on the events of the day.

Each year, some 30,000 members of the public apply to join the debate by being in the studio audience.

The panels are drawn from significant figures in politics as well as industry, the media and entertainment.

Each week, the programme receives up to 5,000 viewer comments.

Shropshire Fights Back Rally
Members of Shropshire Fights back are planning to rally outside Theatre Severn tomorrow evening from 5pm.

The group formed to encourage those from all across Shropshire to come together to demonstrate how strongly they feel against job losses and the loss of public services.
