Priorslee proves property hotspot for house hunters

An area of Telford is proving such a property hotspot with Shropshire homebuyers that it has accounted for almost a third of a local estate agent’s sales during the last year.

Priorslee proves property hotspot for house hunters

End of year figures released by Nock Deighton’s Telford office revealed that a huge 30% of the total properties it sold during 2011 were located in Priorslee, with the area’s excellent reputation and high-quality schools ensuring it remains one of the most sought-after locations.

“Despite the challenging economic climate, our sales across Telford as a whole were brisk last year, but even we didn’t quite anticipate the volume of interest in Priorslee properties,” Tom Skelley, Nock Deighton’s Office Manager in Telford, explained. “And that’s not just from househunters within the county. We received numerous enquiries and actually sold properties to buyers from further afield too, in particular families from the South East of England looking to relocate.

“While it’s close enough to the town centre that residents have almost immediate access to Telford’s amenities and facilities, as well as being in close proximity to the M54, the fact that properties in Priorslee tend to include an ample garden, coupled with the area in general having plentiful green spaces, mean it is an ideal location for buyers, especially those with children, looking to upgrade to a family home.”

Following on from 2011’s exceptional sales in Priorslee, Nock Deighton’s Telford office is already receiving substantial interest in a number of properties it currently has in its portfolio in the area.

“2012 is already shaping up to be another strong year, with a number of viewings already arranged across a variety of three, four, and five-bedroom family homes over the next few weeks. We’re immensely proud of our growing reputation as the Priorslee property specialists, but we also have some great family homes available across the whole of Telford and the Wrekin,” Tom Skelley concluded.
