Thieves have forced their way into a Telford home and stole hundreds of pounds worth of jewellery.

Thieves steal jewellery from Telford home

The burglary happened at an address in Halifax Drive in Leegomery some time between 8.30am and 10.30pm on Monday.

Offenders forced their way into the house and carried out an untidy search of all rooms.

Various items were stolen including a white Apple laptop, a bottle of Le Cos perfume, a Toshiba touch book and a Canon camera lens.

Also stolen was hundreds of pounds worth of jewellery including an orange Tissot watch, a rose gold locket with diamonds in it, a pearl necklace, a silver ring, a Rip Curl watch and an Accurist mother of pearl watch. A leather jewellery box was also stolen.

Police are investigating the matter and want to hear from anyone who has information in relation to the incident.

A Telford Police spokeswoman said: "We want to hear from anyone who saw any suspicious vehicles or people in the area on Monday.

"We also want to hear from anyone who may have been offered any of the stolen items for sale. It is highly likely offenders will try and sell the items to either members of the public or jewellery traders. Please be vigilant and if you are offered such
items for sale then please call us."

Telford Police can be contacted by using the non-emergency number 101.
