Faulty traffic lights at the junction of Lower Claremont Bank and Bridge Street in Shrewsbury are today working properly following a fault that developed last week.

A technical problem on Thursday afternoon led to some traffic disruption in the town centre, as the lights were not working as efficiently as usual.

Engineers were called into manually control the lights during busy periods to try to keep traffic flowing as well as possible following the fault.

A piece of software that controls the lights depending on traffic flow had failed.

Engineers fixed the problem on Saturday night and the lights are now back to normal.
