Thieves take advantage of unlocked Shrewsbury vehicles
Police in Shrewsbury are urging motorists to make sure their vehicles are kept secure after several unlocked cars were targeted by thieves.

Vehicles were entered during the weekend in the Copthorne, Radbrook and Bicton Heath areas.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said today: "In every case, the vehicle was left insecure overnight. Glove compartments were searched and loose change and a Garmin sat-nav system among the items stolen.
"These incidents should serve as a warning to others to make sure their vehicles are kept locked at all times, especially when parked-up overnight. All items of value should also be kept out of sight and removed overnight."
Police are also investigating the theft of registration plates from several vehicles in the Frankwell area.
In a similar incident, a rear number plate was stolen from a maroon Peugeot 307 on the Tesco car park between 3pm and 4pm on Saturday.
Information concerning any of the incidents should be passed to Shrewsbury police station on the 101 non-emergency number.
