Shropshire man becomes Premium Bond Millionaire
A Shropshire man has become March’s Premium Bond millionaire it was revealed today.

The man, who has not been named, purchased the winning Premium Bond in February 2007 and in total has £29,130 worth of bonds.
Premium Bonds are an investment where, instead of interest payments, investors have the chance to win tax-free prizes.
In Shropshire there are 160,134 Premium Bonds holdings worth more than £335 million with over 3,000 prizes worth more than £162,000 still remain unclaimed.
One man, who is still due to receive £1,000 after failing to claim his prize in a previous draw has only £7 invested in Premium Bonds. The prize was won in January 1987.
There are a number of other unclaimed prizes due to the residents, the oldest of these outstanding prizes having been drawn in April 1972. NS&I has tried to trace these winners, but so far without success.
