Police arrest woman suspected of Oswestry shop burglary
A tip-off from a member of the public resulted in police arresting a woman suspected of breaking into an Oswestry shop today.

Officers attended Timpsons Shoes in Bailey Street just after midnight following a report about someone entering the shop after breaking the door.
A 32-year-old woman found nearby in New Street was arrested on suspicion of burglary. She was taken into custody at Shrewsbury police station for questioning.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said today: "Thanks to the prompt action by a member of the public in phoning the police, officers attended the premises and quickly detained a suspect.
"This incident illustrates the importance of people phoning us on the 101 number about criminal activity. If you see something which appears suspicious, follow your instincts and tell us straight away so we can check it out."
