Police are seeking a Shrewsbury man who is wanted by police for breaching the conditions of his prison licence.

Shrewsbury man wanted for breaching prison licence

Richard John Davies, aged 38, has been recalled to prison for breaking the terms of his licence following his release on October 7 last year.

Richard Davies, whose nicknames include Wacky and Nick, was jailed for two years at Shrewsbury Crown Court on October 28, 2010 after pleading guilty to possessing heroin, a Class A controlled drug, with intent to supply. He also admitted a charge of supplying heroin. Both offences were committed in Shrewsbury.

A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: "He is thought most likely to be in the Shrewsbury area but he also has connections with Whitchurch.

"We would urge him to report to his nearest police station and we are also appealing for information concerning his whereabouts.

"Anyone who can assist the police should call Shrewsbury police station on 101 where they can speak in strictest confidence. Information can also be given to the anonymous Crimestoppers charity by calling 0800 555 111."

His prison licence has been revoked by the Ministry of Justice under the Criminal Justice Act for breach of conditions.
