Hundreds of bikers from across the West Midlands travelled from Shrewsbury to RAF Museum Cosford today in a mass motorcycle ride supporting the Midlands Air Ambulance and Royal Air Force Museum.

Hundreds of bikers take part Shropshire charity ride

Starting at Meole Brace Park & Ride in Shrewsbury, motorcyclists gathered for the ‘Bike 4 Life Easter Run’ enjoying refreshments and meeting with the Shropshire Road Safety team and West Midlands Ambulance who were at the start location with their display units.

Also showing their support for the event was Channels 5’s Emergency Bikers who lead the ride from Shrewsbury to the Museum at Cosford.

The ride out left Meole Brace at 11.30am travelling on mass along the M54 motorway to the Royal Air Force Museum Cosford, where on arrival there was entertainment for all the family including a rock band, food stalls and the opportunity to sit inside a replica Air Ambulance cockpit.

Hundreds of people lined the route of the ride showing their support along the way.

The money raised will go to support the Midlands Air Ambulance which needs £6million every year to operate and receives no government or national lottery funding. The money will also be split with the RAF Museum Cosford proudly hosts a world class collection and funds raised will go towards the upkeep of the exhibits.
