High-value mountain bike stolen from Ludlow shop
A smartly dressed conman made off on a high-value mountain bike while test riding it at a Ludlow cycle shop.

The thief called at Pearce Cycles in Fishmore Road on Saturday afternoon and asked if he could try-out a Devinci Wilson downhill mountain bike. The bike, valued at £3,295, is one of only 30 of its type currently in use in Britain.
Police Constable Richard Jones, the investigating officer, said the man asked if he could test ride the bike in the car park, leaving some car keys as "insurance".
"However, after cycling round the car park, he rode out of the main entrance and was seen meeting up with a green van on the main road. The keys turned out to random."
PC Jones said: "I am appealing for any information which might help identify the offender. I am also asking for witnesses who might have seen the bike being loaded into the van late on Saturday afternoon.
"Call Ludlow police station on the 101 non emergency number, or alternatively, contact the anonymous Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111. I would also like to hear from anyone who is offered such a distinctive bike for sale in suspicious circumstances," he added.
The bike, which is chunky in appearance and dark charcoal grey with white parts, was taken between 4pm and 4.30pm.
The thief is described as white, in his mid to late thirties, about 5ft 10ins tall with short gelled dark brown hair and with a tanned complexion. He has broad shoulders but slim waist and was wearing smart jeans with a cotton blue and white striped shirt and brown shoes.
