Concern for vulnerable missing Shrewsbury man
Police in Shrewsbury have launched a search for a 61-year-old man who went missing from his home yesterday evening.

They are concerned for the safety of Derek Ward who is considered to be extremely vulnerable.
He was last seen at around 8.30pm yesterday by his wife when he left his home in Kingston Drive for a walk. He was seen heading towards London Road, on his usual evening walking route, but did not return home as expected.
Officers made an immediate search of the residential area around his house and overnight searches of the mere, the cricket ground and along the river were also made. However, despite their best efforts, officers have been unable to trace Mr Ward and have now issued an appeal for information.
Inspector Mark Reilly from Shrewsbury police station said: "We are growing increasingly concerned for Mr Ward's safety and we are keen to establish that he is safe and well.
"He does not drive, has no mobile phone on him and only has a very small amount of money in his possession.
"We are anxious to hear from anyone who has seen Mr Ward and appeal for anyone with any information which might help us in our search for him to call us on the 101 non-emergency telephone number."
Mr Ward is described as white, 6ft tall, clean shaven, of medium build with hair which is greying at the sides and thinner at the top. He was wearing a light grey baseball cap, brown coat, dark blue trousers and black shoes.
