Mrs Wilson died after she was struck Austin’s Audi convertible on the A458 Bridgnorth Road in Stourton. A Yorkshire Terrier belonging to Mrs Wilson's friend was also killed in the collision.

Austin, who married into the David Austin Roses dynasty, did not accept prosecution evidence that she had 54 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millillitres of breath, the legal drink-drive limit is 35mg.

Case reports were being prepared ahead of sentencing, which will take place on a future date.
