Police in Shrewsbury today appealed for information about a burglary in which two laptops were stolen from a home in the town.

Thieves take laptops during Shrewsbury burglary

Burglars broke into the house in Underdale Road by forcing a door between 7.45pm and 8.15pm last night, escaping with a Hewlett Packard laptop worth £1,300 and an Acer laptop valued at £400.

A mobile phone and a digital camera were also stolen and about £700 damage caused.

Police Constable Mike Sanders, the investigating officer, said: "If anyone saw anything suspicious in the Underdale Road area at around these times last night when it would still be light, please contact Shrewsbury police station on 101.

"Information about the identities of the offenders can also be given to the anonymous Crimestoppers charity by calling 0800 555 111, for which a reward may be paid."
