Police issue new appeal on Shrewsbury schoolgirl sexual assault
Police today issued a new appeal for information about a young man on a bike who sexually touched a 12-year-old Shrewsbury girl as she walked home from school.

The incident happened at around 3.25pm on Monday, May 28 as the girl was walking on the Lidl supermarket car park in Whitchurch Road, Harlescott.
He followed the youngster on his bike before twice touching her inappropriately. The second incident happened moments later further along Whitchurch Road near an island. Although not injured, she was upset and frightened.
Sergeant Keith Steele said today: "The schoolgirl was making her way home when a young man kept passing her and stopping on his bike. He then assaulted her by inappropriate touching as well as making an abusive comment.
"We are anxious to trace the offender and have renewed the appeal for anyone who might know his identity to contact Shrewsbury police station by calling 101.
"He has been seen in the same area at around the same time in the afternoon on a number of occasions during the past few months. There is a fairly good description so we are hoping he will be recognised and that someone will come forward to assist."
The man is described as white, in his late teens, about 5ft 8ins tall, of skinny build with cropped blond hair and had a spotty face. He was wearing a red Liverpool football top, dark tracksuit trousers and white trainers.
He was riding what appeared to be a black BMX or red mountain bike and rode off along Whitchurch Road towards Battlefield.
Information can also be given to the anonymous Crimestoppers charity by calling 0800 555 111.
