Man rescued from under van following Bridgnorth collision
A man has been taken to hospital after being trapped underneath a van for more than an hour following a crash in Bridgnorth last night.

The collision happened on the A458, near to the Bobbington turn, in Six Ashes, Bridgnorth at around 9.40pm yesterday evening.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “On arrival at the scene crews found a van on its side following a collision with a car.
“The passenger in the van, a 26 year old man, was trapped underneath the side of the vehicle. The fire service carefully lifted the vehicle off the man using specialist equipment whilst he continued to be monitored by crews and the doctor. After around 90 minutes, the man was released from underneath the van and had suffered neck pain, a shoulder injury and knee pain. The man was given pain relief and fully immobilised with a neck collar and spinal board before being taken by land ambulance, with the doctor on board, to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.
“The driver of the van, a man in his 20s, had managed to get himself out of the vehicle prior to crews arriving. He had suffered a cut to his head and was treated on scene for his injury by crews before being taken to Princess Royal Hospital.
“The occupants of the car had left the scene prior to the arrival of the emergency services.”
