Further arrests made in Bridgnorth murder investigation

Two men and a woman from the West Midlands area were arrested on Saturday on suspicion of murder and are currently being questioned at police stations in Shropshire.

A 30-year-old Telford woman who was arrested in connection with the inquiry on Thursday was released on Sunday without charge.

The dead man, who was found in a first-floor flat in Old School Mews, off the High Street, is believed to be aged 57. He has not yet been formally identified.

Detectives are still keen to talk to anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the vicinity of Old School Mews earlier in the week and particularly on Wednesday evening.

Anyone with information that could help the investigation should contact officers at Shrewsbury CID on 0300 333 3000 and details can also be forwarded anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
