Following consultation with local residents, Telford & Wrekin Council is about to release a proposed masterplan to regenerate Brookside Centre.

Council ready to release regeneration master plan for Brookside

A flyer will be distributed to all Brookside households concerning the Brookside Master Plan.

The Brookside Local Centre Master Plan will be launched at a drop-in event at Brookside Community Centre on Wednesday 4 July, 6.30pm - 8pm.

All local people will be invited to attend a community drop in session on Wednesday 4 July, 6.30pm-8pm at Brookside Community Centre.

Telford & Wrekin Council has taken the issues raised by residents and those with an interest in the development and has produced a master plan for the redevelopment of the Centre.

If the proposal receives the support of the community, it will be developed into a detailed design and will be submitted for planning approval later in the year.

For anyone not able to attend the drop-in event, the plan will be exhibited in the Community Centre and members of the Council’s Design team will be on hand to answer any questions on Thursday 5 July and Friday 6 July: 8:30 – 10:30 am, 12 noon – 2:00, 4:00 – 8:00 pm and on Saturday 7 July 10:00 am – 12 noon.

Councillor Shaun Davies, Cabinet Member for Neighborhood Services and Co-operative Council Said: "Brookside is an area where residents are very passionate about how improvements can be made to bring about a positive change.

"As a Co-operative Council, Telford & Wrekin Council want to listen to residents who want to see improvements to their local area and the services that the Council delivers.

"Through this Co-operative way of thinking, we want to offer support and skills to local people so that they can take and active role in shaping the future."

"I would like to encourage local people to attend one o the drop-in sessions to have their say on the Brookside Master Plan which details the regeneration proposals.
